Murphy laid-in: "Oceanic birds", "Environmental Control, Ecological Divergence and Physiological Rhythm Among Oceanic Birds", and "Robert Ferryman, Forgotten Naturalist". One pamphlet "Techniques in Bird Illustration" by Don Richard Eckelberry laid-in as well. Bindings of both volumes show general edgewear. Titles on spines are faded. Both are internally Clean and Tight. All four pamphlets have a previous owners' name, date and "from the Robert Cushman Murphy Collection" written in ink on either the front page or inside the front page (not affecting text).
